Red & Wolfe 3

Title: Red & Wolfe, Part 3
Author: Ella James
Genre: Erotica
Length: 55 pages
Rating: 4 stars

Grace’s Review
Of this four book series, this novella was the most sexually charged. IT. IS. HOT!!!  Like 5 alarm fire hot!  Like don’t bother with panties hot!
“That’s why you’re here, remember? That’s why I invited you to stay – so you could be my little fuck doll.”

And Red looooooves to be his fuck doll.
. . . as I push against his cock, so he can fill me deeper, my clit is flashing like Christmas lights. But it’s a minor detail. Everything is secondary to the fire storm of his cock splitting me wide.

If you didn’t already figure it out, the most important thing you need to know about this book is that you’ll need a cold shower after.

“I’m your new God, Red. Now I want you to close your eyes and let your pussy worship me.”

This novella is also one of revelations.  It starts out with Red learning about one of Wolfe’s best kept secrets.  How does he respond?  With punishment!  But only the best kind for Red.  While it was only hinted at previously, Wolfe exposes his truly dominant side.  Especially when Red finds out his real name isn’t Race.  With Wolfe’s Dom side making an appearance, we get spanking and bondage.  Along with anal and rimming.  Yup, he goes there.

These two have an explosive sexual chemistry, but I’m not yet sold on their relationship outside of fucking.  Time will tell how they will make it work.  So, on to the last one.

Warning: Don’t read the following review, if you want to avoid spoilers.

Red & Wolfe 4

Grace’s Review
I think I’m the minority here, but this was my least favorite of the four novellas, which is disappointing because I really enjoyed the previous three.  I’m not trashing this one, I still gave it 3 1/2 stars, but there were little things that bothered me throughout this finale.  To begin with, some of the editing was poor.  Was it Mr. Linn or Mr. Lin?  No idea, there were alternate spellings on the same page for this guy. Also, one of the chapters was titled as Wolfe, when it was clearly Red’s POV.  Am I being nit-picky?  Absolutely.  But this is my review, my honest thoughts.  If these things don’t bother you, that’s your opinion and that’s ok too.

The bigger issue was the implausibility of some of the scenes in this book.  Sure, this is a play on a fairy tale, but is it pure fantasy?  Are we really to believe that these two people who go thru some traumatic pain, are so in lust with each other that they don’t notice the pain?  AT ALL?!?  I guess nothing says “fuck me” like some blood and burnt flesh!  Yum!

Oh K, now that we have that out of the way, I’ll share what I liked. There’s a good suspense element as Red & Wolfe’s safety is threatened.  And the mystery about Cookie’s (Wolfe’s former wife) death begins to unravel.  While it was clear to me that Wolfe did not play a role in her death, I was a bit surprised by who the killer was when it was revealed.

As I mentioned before, Red & Wolfe don’t let some life-threatening moments stand in their way of a good fuck.  They are as hot as ever.

With each thrust, he comes at me at a slightly different angle, so he plows into a different spot inside. The vibrations ripple through my clit. I feel drunk with lust, like I can barely hold my head up.

The descriptions are as unique as ever.
His fingers. . .Dipping into my pussy like I’m a vat of paint.
Stroking like that.

And Wolfe is back to his dirty talking dominant self.
“What a little fuck doll. Tell me who’s your master, fuck doll?”

Overall, while the danger they faced on the island was resolved a bit too quickly for me, I was actually happy that that didn’t solve everything for them.  Even though it was sad on some levels, I liked the steps they took to get their shit sorted so that they could move on.  And yes, this is the last novella of the story and yes, you get a HEA.  At the end, I still wasn’t sold on Red & Wolfe as a couple, but this series is different and sexy, and sometimes that is all you need.
