I fuck them. I use them. I pay them off. I find another. My demands are never denied. My contracts are always signed. They submit to me. Willingly. Completely. Temporarily. This is how it’s always been.

Until I saw that filthy tweet.

@VaughnAsher My bare pussy. Your tongue. #ThingsIThinkAboutToGetOff

“FilthyBlueBird” thinks she can tease me with hashtags and then hide behind a Twitter handle? She thinks I wouldn’t be more than happy to #RockHerFilthyWorld? She’s wrong.

Her online fantasy is about to collide with her public reality, and it’s about to happen… now.

Grace Review

Man-whore male
Insecure female
Dirty talking
Public sex
These are fairly common themes in the romance book world, especially with the erotic genre taking off the past couple of years. But this author takes these elements and puts together a very fresh story centering on a social media obsession.

Grace aka @DirtyBlueBird is obsessed with Twitter.

I can turn a hundred and forty characters into living sex. I can string words together in a way that will make you wet your panties with lust. I can make a man blush before he even gets to the hashtag.

Grace is obsessed with Vaughn Asher.
Grace is obsessed with Vaughn Asher on Twitter.

And then she meets him.
The man of her dreams.
. . . think again.

I personally wasn’t sure whether I liked Asher (his first name is never really used).  He is bossy, but not always in a good way, more of an entitled way.  He’s a bit stalkerish, and pushes the boundaries of what most women would think is ok.  I think Grace is willing to be pushed, but part of her is denying the ability to submit.  On some occasions, his actions are teetering on the edge of humiliation, which could be an issue for some.  I don’t think his intention is to put her in that position, but he’s so focused on control and enforcing it, under any setting, that it’s overwhelming to Grace.

Follow teaser

While this story begins with Grace’s obsession of Asher, it felt like the obsession flipped somewhere along in the story.  Asher often states that if she says no to his demands, he will walk away and never think of her again.  Paleeeeaase!  He is all talk.  He doesn’t seem to give up his pursuit of Grace.

Her conflicting thoughts on whether to accept his demands vary greatly.  This was a bit frustrating, but it was funny how Grace was annoyed with herself.

What I love about this story is the overall concept.  In this day and age of social media, you can alter your personality to gain followers, or let your true self come out.  We now have terms like catfish and cyber bully for people who hide behind a keyboard.  So, is Grace all text?  Or is her true personality the one with the dirty tweets?  While she has moments of sexual bravery, I’m not sold that her true personality is the same as her Twitter personality.  Time will tell.

I’m not this girl. Not in any way. I belong online with my Twitter friends. I prefer Vaughn Asher as my muse.

This story ends with a cliffy, but I actually didn’t mind it.  It had me laughing. I can’t wait to see where the story goes from here!

– Grace (no, this is not my biography, lol, although I have been nicknamed Dirty Red by YaYa)
