Book Review: Manwhore +1 by Katy Evans

Genre: Contemporary Romance
Length: 336 pages

Billionaire playboy? Check.
Ruthless businessman? Check.
Absolutely sinful? Check.

Malcolm Saint was an assignment. A story. A beautiful, difficult man I was supposed to uncover for a racy exposé.

I intended to reveal him, his secrets, his lifestyle—not let him reveal me. But my head was overtaken by my heart and suddenly nothing could stop me from falling. I fell for him, and I fell hard.

Malcolm Saint is absolute Sin, and I’ve become a hopeless Sinner.

Now that the assignment is over, Saint wants something from me–something unexpected–and I want this wicked playboy’s heart. But how can I prove to the man who trusts no one that I’m worthy of becoming his plus one?

Michelle's Review

I could not wait to get my hands on this book, I needed this book after that cliffhanger in book 1.  Although Rachel messed up, royally, she put her heart into that love letter she published with Edge.  I felt in book one Rachel was kind of bullied into making this expose and when she saw who Malcolm really was, she couldn’t go through “throwing him under the bus”.

It has been four weeks since that published love letter and she is getting to see Malcolm.  Rachel had thought it would be her chance to beg his forgiveness, but instead Malcolm is basically asking her to join Interface.

Although many may have found Rachel annoying (I only did for a little), but I really felt sorry for her.  She will do anything and I mean anything to win Malcolm’s trust, but she has some hurdles to jump.  I loved the slow build up and how honest Malcolm was with Rachel regarding the expose.  I freaking loved his cockiness, damn that man’s arrogance.  Some may be put off by it, but I loved it for some reason.

The swoon-worthy aspects of Malcolm was in an all time high.  Jesus H. Christ that man and his seduction and romancing, his ghost corner kissing, just typing this down, I’m getting all mushy and swishy (don’t judge lol).  Malcolm has made it to the top of my BBF list, yup.  I call DIBS, DIBS, DIBS!!!!

There is some drama with Malcolm’s father trying to buy Edge, I wanted to see how Rachel was going to deal with this new aspect especially since she is trying to win Malcolm back.  I wasn’t disappointed. Malcolm’s dad is a real douche.

My favorite quotes:  Malcolm to Rachel “But I can’t give you up.  I can’t give you up even when I want to.  I don’t want to back off.  I don’t want to give you up”.

“Be my girlfriend, Rachel.  Officially.  Exclusive and monogamous.”  …. “I want to be that guy you can’t ever take out of your head, Rachel.  The one you’ve been waiting for.  I want you to have eyes just for me and smile just for me and a tone of voice only I will ever hear.”

And this final quote solidified my love for Malcolm:  “You’re the only heaven I will ever know, Rachel” – … “and if you were a hell, I’d sin my whole life just to stay with you.”  Thunk!  That was me falling on the floor.
