Book Review: Tyrant by T.M. Fraizer

Title: Tyrant (King #2)
Author: T.M. Fraizer
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Length: 230 pages
Rating: 4.5 stars

I. Remember. Everything.Only now I wish I didn’t.

When the fog is sucked away from my mind like smoke through a vacuum, the truth that has been beyond my reach for months finally reveals itself.

But the relief I thought I would feel never comes, and I’m more afraid now than I was the morning I woke up handcuffed in King’s bed.

Because with the truth comes dark secrets I was never meant to know.

I will put the lives of those I love most at risk if I let on that my memory has returned, or if I seek help from the heavily tattooed felon who owns me body and soul.

I don’t know if I’m strong enough to resist the magnetic pull toward King that grows stronger every day.

He’s already saved me in more ways than one. Now it’s my turn to do whatever it takes to save him.

Even if that means marrying someone else.

YaYa's Review

I belonged to them, but they didn’t fucking own me. They would NEVER fucking own me. She owned me. Heart and black fucking soul.

When a book leaves off in a cliffy all I want is for the author to deliver an even better story than the first one. This is what TM Frazier has done. She took that cliffy from King and flipped it upside down. In a very good way. Once I started I didn’t want to put it down. I was out for some sweet revenge with King.

He took my girl. He wanted to take my life. His payment would be in blood.

I love the revengeful side of TM’s men. Just like Jake (The Dark Light of Day) it took a woman to tame the monster inside King. One who had no memory of her life and after her father, The Senator, takes her back home she starts remembering little by little.

“Don’t trust the Tyrant.”

God those four words gave me the chills because I had a feeling all along it was him. It gave the story such a twist if you didn’t see it coming it’s going to shock your brain out. That’s what I loved about this story. TM drove you mad. One minute you’re falling in love with King and how he’s falling for Doe, the next minute you hate him because he’s an asshole. Then you’re falling in love with a tatted, suspender, bow tie wearing character and then…. it’s still hard to say. She gets your emotions all riled up and then WHAM, she lays it out for you. Man does she make it hurt. You sit there in the dark holding your device asking yourself “Why does she do this to us?” (Stay strong Bear)

“In my world it’s kill or be killed, baby.”

One of my favorite parts were Doe’s flashbacks. A glimpse to her innocence and the life we didn’t know about. Why did she forget who she was? I kept asking myself when I was reading King. It had to be something so bad for her to walk out on her family and the son she can’t remember. It was a bit heartbreaking. She had the “perfect” life and how can she go from that to being in the arms of a man who would only be endangering her. Because the heart knows what it wants and although King is a notorious man, she was SAFE.

With King, I was the me I wanted to be. And that girl, belonged to King. Body and soul.

Did I skip the sexy scenes? Not on purpose. This book was so full of life that if King and Doe had sex once in the whole story, I would’ve been ok with it because this book has so much more goodness. The sexy times is an added bonus. Have I mentioned King is a BEAST? I’m sure your ovaries got that in the first book. God I love him.

Ending this as sweet as possible….READ this series. Great storyline, unforgettable characters, The Feels. Sort of like a good smoothie with the perfect blend of fruits. So good and refreshing you don’t want it to end. Note to the author: Thank You for including “The Moerdenaar.” Bless your little black heart. Very pleased to know there will be more of this series. Happy Readings!
