Synopsis

Lily LeBlanc isn’t versed in the art of casual sex, but after seven years in an on-again, off-again relationship, she’s definitely willing to give it a shot. And who better to try it with than her best friend’s boyfriend’s best friend? What could possibly go wrong?

NHL player, Randy Ballistic, lives up to his last name on the ice and in the bedroom. His best friend and teammate has recently given up the puck bunnies and traded them in for a real girlfriend. And she just happens to have a seriously feisty, extra-hot best friend on the rebound.

Randy’s more than happy to be Lily’s spring board back into the dating scene.

But casual sex is only casual until those pesky things called emotions get involved. Once that happens, someone’s bound to get pucked over.

Grace Review

Funny, awkward, and endearing all at once.  This was another great installment to this raunchy hockey series.

Randy and Lily seem like the most unlikely couple for a hockey romance, but if you read Pucked Up, you will remember that something big happened between them.  How that big something is handled by both is the basis of this story.  (Note: while each book in this series is a separate couple, I highly recommend the books are read in order, as each of the previous couples play big roles in this installment).

For those with bad memories, like myself, let me catch you up:
*Lily – BFF to Sunny from Pucked Up
*Randy – newest member of the team, playing with Alex (Pucked) and Miller (Pucked Up).  He also provides constant laughs for Violet’s, Alex’s fiancé, who can’t keep it together when saying his full name.

This book takes place shortly after Pucked Up, when Lily’s long-term relationship with the douche-canoe, Benji, finally comes to an end.  Based on what I know now, I feel so bad for Lily.  Already self-conscious about her appearance and flat chest (her words), it turns out Benji only fueled that low self-esteem.  The more I learned about him, the more I wanted to hit him in his hairy balls.  And who better to save the day, or serve as a fantastic rebound, than a hot hockey player who looks like Franggy Yanez.  HEEEELLLLOOO!!!  Where the fuck did my panties go?  On second thought, why bother with panties?  With a name like Randy Ballistic, you better expect your world to be rocked.

“My dick told me he didn’t want a bunny.  He’s holding out for you.”
I roll my eyes, even though he can’t see me.  “Does that line work?”
“It’s not a line.  Me and my dick are tight.  We had a very serious conversation.”

Yes, Randy delivers on his name in a lot of bathrooms.  Seriously, one time I get, but these two seem to have a fondness for bathrooms.  Or maybe that’s just the only place they can have a quickie with everyone in their business  . . .

Lily’s Vagina Emporium is at maximum cock capacity.

Although I didn’t expect this couple to work, they totally did.  They had a fun vibe about them, and aside from making each other feel good sexually, they also helped each other with their personal insecurities.  Never once did Randy judge Lily’s breasts as “too small”, or comment on the low cost/quality of her clothes, or show disgust with her grooming habits.  SPOILER: pubic hair, leg hair, etc. is mentioned in this book.  I didn’t mind it but I know some people aren’t fans of this in their romance books.  But if you survived Miller and his grooming, you should do just fine with this one too.

These two share a similar history of having shitty fathers, and it has shaped them along the way.  For Lily, it sadly destroyed a career and left her struggling financially day by day.  For Randy, due to the constant comparisons to his Dad, he feared repeating history.  As a result, he only wanted casual sex with woman.  When you combine their issues, it made everything harder to thrive between them.  Lily financially couldn’t spend as much time with Randy as he or she wanted, and with Randy’s rules of staying casual, she had to give the controls over to Randy on when they had time together.  As time passes, this became a struggle for them, and you can feel how both are fighting the growing connection between them.  Cue the drama . . .

“Canada screws with my phone.”
“We’re like that.  Passive on the outside, messing with everyone on the down low.”

While the first book will probably always remain as the funniest book in the series, Violet makes frequent appearances and provides plenty of TMI awkward moment that will have you LOLing. Add to that Lily’s humorous inner monologue, you have a light fun addition to the series.

Instead, a backbeat starts up in my clit – full percussion.  It’s like a deejay made a home in my underwear, and my vagina’s where all the bass resides.

With the backstory involving Lance and Tash, I’m hoping their story is next.  We’ve had our Super MC, the Yeti, and Balls, what could possibly be next?!?!  Until then, keep the ice cold and the lube warm!

Synopsis

With a famous NHL player for a stepbrother, Violet Hall is well acquainted with the playboy reputation of many a hockey star. So of course she isn’t interested in legendary team captain Alex Waters or his pretty, beat-up face and rock-hard six-pack abs. When Alex inadvertently obliterates Violet’s misapprehension regarding the inferior intellect of hockey players, he becomes much more than just a hot body with the face to match.

Suffering from a complete lapse in judgment, Violet discovers just how good Alex is with the hockey stick in his pants. Violet believes her night of orgasmic magic with Alex is just that: one night. But Alex starts to call. And text. And email and send extravagant—and quirky—gifts. Suddenly, he’s too difficult to ignore, and nearly impossible not to like.

The problem is, the media portrays Alex as a total player, and Violet doesn’t want to be part of the game.

Synopsis

Miller “Buck” Butterson has been banging his way through life ever since a puck to the face fixed his messed up front teeth. After five years in the NHL, deflecting goals on the ice and scoring them with puck bunnies, Miller has decided he’s ready for a girlfriend. A real, non- bunny girlfriend to take on dates, and not jump into bed with after five seconds of conversation.

Miller thinks he’s found that woman in his teammate’s sister. Except, unlike team captain and all-around nice guy Alex Waters—who happens to date his stepsister, Miller’s media reputation as a manwhore is well earned. Beyond that minor detail, Miller doesn’t know the first thing about relationships or the time and effort they require.

Miller learns—eventually—that if he wants to make Sunshine “Sunny” Waters fall for him, he’s going to have to do a whole lot more than show her his stick skills in the bedroom.
