Michelle's Review

I hope before you read this review that you have read The Club 1-3, otherwise, you are going to be lost.  Moving forward, after meeting Josh and Kat in the previous books, I was curious as to how their relationship started.  The author did not disappoint.

Josh Faraday is the funny, more down-to-earth twin, but I sensed he had to have had some type of vulnerability so he can be the “cool twin”.  I have to admit, that I always liked Josh, more so than Jonas (sorry ladies).  Not to take anything away from Jonas, he did suffer two traumatic experiences, I just felt he was over-the-top at times, but glad that Sarah came into his life and “fixed” him.  Ok back to Josh and this book.  It is not a “retelling” per say of the original series, it’s more Josh and Kat’s chemistry, while they are all trying to figure out the goings on with reference to The Club.

Josh is the Playboy and Kat is the Party Girl with a Hyphen (I thought that was cute). These two were hot for each other from the very beginning, sexual tension was pouring off of these two, but Kat although she’s a very sexual person, she needs some depth and honesty from the man she beds.  Josh is hell bent on Kat not knowing what he wrote down on his original application to The Club.  Josh is use to getting his way, which of course, Kat’s takes notice, so until she gets her grabby hands on Josh’s application, they won’t be horizontal anytime soon.

I enjoyed the funny moments and inner monologues between the h/h, what I didn’t like too much was Kat’s childlike moniker especially during their text messages.  I’m sure some may find endearing, but for me as the reader, I knew she is smart woman, hell she truly was stubborn and I loved how she stood her ground with Josh.  I did not enjoy her “air head” moments she had with Josh.  Josh was sex on a stick, but like a typical man, I knew beneath the layer of Playboy and funny ways, there stood someone that was also hurting.

Josh and Kat’s first book as you know ends in a cliffhanger, I wanted to scream at how it ended (nothing bad, just frustrating lol).  When these two finally get to the actual sexy times, prepare yourself for a thrill.  There was a very interesting sex toy involved, that’s all I’m going to say.  I am curious to see how their story will go forward.  So if you’re a Lauren Rowe fan, she will not disappoint with Josh and Kate’s story.

Michelle's Review

So The Revelation picks up where The Infatuation left off.  Kat is finally reading Josh’s application to The Club.  I wanted to know why Josh had so much reservations in handing over the application.  I knew that regardless of what Kat read in his application, she wasn’t going to demoralize Josh for his wants.  Believe what you want about Josh, yes, he is (or rather was) a true playboy in the sense of the meaning.  Yes, he was the fixer for everything that was going on with Jonas, but when you continue reading, you will notice a huge vulnerable side to Josh.  He’s only human.  But of course, true to Kat’s way of thinking, she notices certain pictures and her nosey ass self-proceeds to see the pictures and of course, gets a little nutso.

Before I continue with the Josh and Kat show, we also learn how they pulled off the biggest take down of The Club, so that was good.  This book is more in depth towards what these two characters are truly feeling for each other.  They are physically matched and the sexual chemistry is off the charts.  They both are willing to give each other extreme physical/sexual pleasure.  Here is my issue with the storyline, and it’s my opinion, what may not work for me, may work for you as a reader:  I don’t like how Kate becomes a bit immature or extremely jealous, and sometimes, the bee tee dubs get a little annoying.  Their lack of communication.  I get it, Josh has commitment issues, but can’t he see his brother was the same and he potentially got over them.  I do like how they want to fulfill their fantasies, and how they actually have normal conversations, at times.  I just wish they would just admit what they are really feeling.  Again, maybe it’s just me, so you can take it with a grain of salt.  I am hoping The Consummation will give me the answers that I want and the communication gap gets better between these two couples.

Michelle's Review

The final installment to Josh and Kat’s love story is finally upon us, and I have to say I wasn’t disappointed.  The Revelation left a dozy of a cliffy which I will not spoil for you. Lots of decision making on Kat’s behalf.  Josh is mourning the loss of his Party Girl with Hyphen after she asked for a “break”.  When Josh learns of Kat’s dilemma, let’s just say he did not handle the situation properly.  Josh needed an AHA moment with regards to his feelings towards Kat and boy did he ever get that moment.  He does everything in his power to win her back.

There was a lot of steamy sexy times, there is a particular scene that when you get to it, you’re home with your favorite toy or significant other.  I rather enjoyed this book the most.  These two characters finally came to a place of finally knowing each other not only in the carnal sense but in the emotional, intimate sense.  As I mentioned in my previous reviews, I needed to know what was behind the Playboy that is Josh and my questions were answered.  Although at times, Kat really annoyed me with her jealousy her child-like behavior, I really like her sassiness.  She made sure she wasn’t going to be the chaser of Josh’s attention.  His little nickname for her “Ms. Terrorist” fitted her at best.  These two have very big hearts and love.  There was many laughs as well throughout my read, so that’s a plus.

I will mention again that Josh is my favorite Faraday and the cover model for these three books is smoking hot.  I am curious to see if the author will be writing Henn’s book which would be cute to see.  So if you fell in love with Jonas and Sarah, prepare yourself to add room to your heart for Josh and Kat and their crazy banter and extreme chemistry.
