A Greek Billionaire and his student intern.

Tess Richardson is from a family that’s all about the law. She follows the rules, and works hard for everything she has. When she gets accepted to junior year abroad and an internship at an International shipping company, she knows that doing things the right way has paid off. Then she meets Nico Stephanos and all the rules fly out the window.

Nico has always been the golden boy. Handsome, smart, and the son of a Greek billionaire, he gets what he wants, when he wants it. With a father as rich and powerful as his, he’s got the world by the balls—until the day the woman he’s falling for becomes his family’s greatest enemy. Now Nico is faced with a choice—the life he knows, or the girl he thinks he loves.

Michelle's Review

I like reading from authors that are new to me so when Selena Laurence asked if one of us would like to read this book, I jumped on it.  It’s not a student/teacher romance!  Tess Richardson decided to study abroad to Greece to finish up her degree in forensic accounting.  Her dad is an Assistant District Attorney and her older brother works for the FBI, so naturally Tess wanted to follow along that path.  Immediately landing in Greece, she’s hit on by a gorgeous man, but Tess is all about not getting too friendly with the locals.  On her first day of her internship, that gorgeous man turns out to be the CEO Nico Stefanos, oh boy let the games begin.

I liked Tess from the beginning, she is a rule follower and she’s not going to let the hunky Greek God to mess with her time in Greece.  I loved how she immediately put Nico in his place.  Although she’s attracted to him, she immediately tells him, she’s there to learn and he’s so spoiled and use to having his way, that she will not be one of his trophy women.

Nico is really intrigued by Tess from the very beginning.  He takes a hard look at how someone like Tess would perceive him, so he asks just for her friendship and show her he can be down-to-earth and earn her friendship.  The chemistry was there for these two, so you will know that eventually friendship will lead to other things.

There was an interesting plot going on with the story, and Tess was trying to figure out these weird accounting situations, but of course, Nico’s cousin and right hand man, Christos was trying to deviant those plans.  The storyline really helped move the story along.  Can an American girl with a heart a gold win over the Greek God?  You have to read and find out for yourself.

Although it started a little slow at first, it did pick up especially with the interesting storyline.  As mentioned earlier, this is my first time reading a book by Ms. Laurence, I would definitely add her other books to my never ending TBR list.
