Genre: Romantic Comedy
Length: 101 pages
Rating: 5 stars

Join Jake & Chelsea, Stanton & Sofia, Brent & Kennedy as they navigate the hilarious and heartwarming hurdles of love, life and the law in this final addition to the Legal Briefs Series.

There was a time when Jake Becker had it all together. He was controlled, driven, ruthless—in and out of the courtroom.

Then, six irresistible orphans and their heartbreakingly beautiful aunt crashed into his perfectly ordered life. They changed everything. They changed him. Now he’s a husband, an upstanding member of society, a father figure—a family man.
And he’s pretty damn good at it.

Sure, he has to referee sibling smackdowns, re-learn algebra, ensure his clients stay of jail, and keep his wife happy—but it finally feels like he’s got it together again….
So, of course something has to screw it all up.

It’s huge. Life-changing. Kind of terrifying.

And it will be the most amazing, perfect thing he’ll ever do.

Grace Review

If you read my Sustained review, than you know it is kind of a big deal when a BBF cracks my top 5 list.  It’s not every day that a BBF hits elite status.  Then, when said BBF gets a new book, I’m giddy for obvious reasons, but I’m also a tad nervous.  While they live up to my high expectations?

So did the author do Jake justice?  Hell-to-the-yes!  Jake is not only still in my top 5, he is setting up camp.  A large camp, with lots of room for his growing broad.  *ahem*

I felt like this book was a gift for all of Jake’s fan girls.  We get to see how far he has come since singledom, and how he has adjusted to his new family.  He is simply perfection!  Even though he is not the biological father to these six amazing kids, he has made an impact like one.  Whether it is offering support and motivation, a shoulder to cry on, or lay down house rules.  He has fully embraced fatherhood.  And the kids have embraced him back.

There are plenty of touching moments in the story that will have you dabbing your eyes.  The talk with Raymond, and then the following talk with Chelsea nearly gutted me.

“I would pick you.”

Although there are those emotional moments, this is mostly a light hearted fun novella with my favorite lawyer.  The rest of the gang from the series also make noteworthy appearances and offer advice when Jake is struggling.  I found myself with a silly grin through most of the book and thank the author for this addition to the series.

Note: Fans of the Appealed book will also get a nice bonus at the end.
