They say in order to find yourself you have to go home.

What if home was what you’re running from?

Where did that leave you?

Always on the other side of the fence.

Always looking in.

Always wishing you were someone you couldn’t be.

Until one day you meet her.

The one.

She was my high, but she was also…

My demise.

Tammy review

You want something so badly, it drives you, it heals you, it takes everything away, it makes you survive, it makes you crave.

This can be love. This can be a job. This can be a friend. This can be a lover.

This can be addiction.

Addiction can come in many forms but addiction is addiction.

We have met Austin in the other Good Ol’ Boys books and were given a glimpse of what he has been through but not from his perspective. And this sad soul will pull at her heart strings and play the saddest melody you will ever hear. We see this man as one who is strong, lovely, kind but so jaded. He only sees the bad. He has never felt that he measured up even when he met Briggs. There was such an instant attraction between the two. After one night on a balcony their fate was sealed. He knew that this woman was his and only his. It would take months to see her again and from there on their love story truly began.

Briggs is a woman who had to grow up quick. She lost her parents at such a young age and being sent to an Uncle who was someone no one crossed, she knew she had to find her own way. She saw and did things that most adults have either never seen or just touched the surface. She was playing adult games as a teenager. And this adult game lead her to Austin.

When you meet someone there is always going to highs and lows and this couple had them in spades. But it all came back to one thing, drugs. Austin was addicted. Truly, truly addicted. And Briggs was addicted to Austin.

How do you survive this?
How do you continue love that is so toxic?
How can you live day by day knowing that the end is near?
How can you live in constant fear?

I’ll say no more because to understand this truly tragic love story you must read it for yourself. It is somewhat hard to put exactly what I want into this review because any review is not going to be adequate enough for you to understand what this book really is and what these characters go through. Yes, I can give you my glimpse, but there is so much more. It truly is that book where someone says to you, “you really just have to read the book to understand.” These kind of books are the ones that you fall in love with and that never leave you.

Austin and Briggs went through all of this and on such a deep level. You ache for them page by page. You shout at Austin for being so reckless. You hug Briggs because she is so hurt. Bottom line, Crave Me will make you go through their story word by word. You are in a world of hurt and love, the two are bonded. But are they so bonded that they can survive?

M. Robinson truly showed you the mind and life of an addict. How they process things, the excuses that are made, the promises, oh the promises. It is a cycle a very vicious one. If you are in love with an addict, their addiction is now your addiction. You live your life moment by moment, drug by drug, promise by promise. It destroys you. It changes you. It taints you for life. There is always a fear: are they truly healed, will they fall back to old ways? If you have ever wanted to know what an addict thinks and feels and how they live and how their addiction affects others, then Crave Me will guide you.

With each book M wants to rip your heart out and put it back together. Each book she wants to make you cry. Well, bravo! Cause this lady has sutures and tear stains (something that truly does not happen from reading that often). I posted in her VIP group that everyone needs to truly prepare themselves for this tale. Get the tissues, the wine, the visine, and bubble wrap for their kindle, this was not a false warning.

Stock up my friends. Stock up.
