Seduction has never been so sweet! The New York Timesbestselling author of the Cold Fury series—Alex, Garrett, Zack, and Ryker—returns with the first novel in a hot new trilogy.

Sela Halstead lost her innocence in a way that no sixteen-year-old should ever have to endure. She’s spent years trying to forget that night even while wondering about the identities of the monsters who brutalized her—until a telltale tattoo flashes across Sela’s TV screen. The incriminating ink belongs to Jonathon Townsend, the millionaire founder of The Sugar Bowl, a website that matches rich older men with impressionable young women. Obsessed with revenge, Sela infiltrates Townsend’s world, only to come face-to-face with a tantalizing complication: Beckett North, his charismatic business partner.

The tech mastermind behind The Sugar Bowl, Beck always gets what he wants, in business and in bed. And yet, for a man who’s done every dirty thing imaginable, there’s something about the naïve, fresh-faced Sela that sparks his hottest fantasies. Because with her, it’s not just about sex. Beck opens up to her in ways he never has with other girls. So why does he get the feeling that she’s hiding something? In a world of pleasure and power, the shocking truth could turn them against each other—or bind them forever.

Note: Sugar Daddy ends on a cliffhanger. Sela and Beck’s story continues in Sugar Rush and Sugar Free!

Wow what a different book for Sawyer Bennett and kudos to her for going a little edgier.  I read the synopsis, but wasn’t 100% sure what type of read this was going to be, but I was not disappointed.  Having read Ms. Bennett’s Legal Brief books, and a few other books, I was all in.

Sela Halstead wants revenge from the man who attacked her 10 years earlier, and stole not only her virginity, but her innocence and her intimacy and the only way to do that is for her to become a Sugar Baby for the Sugar Daddy company.  What is the Sugar Daddy company you may ask?  Well it’s like a dating site meeting eligible rich bachelors, wherein young women, hook up with older wealthy men.  They go to functions, etc. essentially arm candy.  The owner of this company is Jonathan Townsend, known as J.T. to his friends.  Sela only has three things on her mind, revenge, murder, repeat, besides getting to J.T., she needs to get to her other attackers.  Sela did her homework regarding Sugar Daddy and made sure she got into the company and find out where the next mixer would be.  Having been shot down by J.T. himself, she meets the co-owner Beck.  The attraction was instant and for Sela that’s a biggie.  She’s been with other men after her rape, but with no emotions and no orgasms.  When they hook up, she is really confused as to how Beck knows her body.  Sela is second guessing her plot against J.T., but when she goes snooping around Beck’s apartment, things got very interesting.  What a cliffhanger!

As I mentioned earlier, I wasn’t sure what I was getting into when reading this book.  I love getting surprised by authors that I have read from before.  If you’ve read a Sawyer Bennett book, you know you will get some steamy book, but here, she still writes some steam but with a lot of edge, grittier.  I need book 2 like ASAP.
