The sexy, breathtaking mystery continues in New York Times andUSA TODAY bestselling author Lisa Renee Jones’s stunning second novel in the suspenseful Careless Whispers series—where shocking revelations will reveal themselves and nothing, and no one, will ever be the same.

Still struggling with amnesia, Ella questions everything she’s known about Kayden Wilkens—the alluring stranger who claims to have found her unconscious in an alleyway a month earlier. But was he truly a stranger—or did Kayden know her before his supposed rescue? Tormented by the potential betrayal he denies, with fleeting memories of a bombshell in her recent past, Ella must face a hard reality. Every action has consequences . . . and trusting Kayden, the one thing she most desires, might result in the direst consequences of all.

New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author Lisa Renee Jones, whose searing novels generate “enough heat . . . to start a fire” (RT Book Reviews), dares you to fall in love with her irresistibly surprising and sexy new series.

*NOTE: If you have not read Denial, do not read this review, as it may have some spoilers*

Demand picks up where Denial left off, and if you were like me, you could not wait to find out what the hell is going on, why, because at the end of Denial Ella is pointing a gun at Kayden.  Ella is still getting flashbacks of her past, as much as she wants to trust Kayden, in her flashbacks it seems there is more to the story he is telling her.  I will admit, I too had my reservations with regards to Kayden in the first book, but a lot more questions was answered in Demand.

We finally found out who David was (I had a feeling and discussing it with Grace confirmed my suspicion).  Gallo is still being an ass, trying to manipulate into finding out what Ella really knows about her past.  Ella gets more of an understanding of The Underground.  With Ella’s flashbacks and blackouts, she fears that somehow that it will break the bond she is having with Kayden.  Oh Kayden, he is super protective of Ella, but he knows she is not a weak person.  Those two together and the chemistry is just so great to read.

Those who work for Kayden are taking notice how important Ella is to Kayden, there is finally a mutual respect for her.  Still I sense there is a mole in his group.  Ella’s memories of her past are getting more intense and unlocks more of who she was before she landed in Europe and why.  Towards the end of the book, Ella does get a wonderful surprise.

Again, I was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what Ella was going to uncover about her past and I got most of my questions answered, but new ones to add.  After waiting almost three years for this story, it is so intense.  I just recently found out that Surrender, the final book in the Careless Whisper Series, will be coming out in January 2017!  Why?????  Oh well, I guess I have to wait like everyone else and find out.
