Reese King: Olympic medalist, underwear model, Greek god.

His body is chiseled from rock, sculpted by the weight room, and refined by water.

On a daily basis his skin is completely bare for everyone to see, tan and defined, only covered up by a minuscule piece of spandex. There is no denying his sex appeal.

I hate to admit it, but I’m head over heels infatuated with him.

There is one HUGE problem though. His achingly gorgeous abs, inked up arm, and cocky swagger belong to my boss, the high-profile, reality star bitch from hell and certified heinous human being, Bellini Chambers.

What I think is going to be an easy job assisting a glorified wench turns into a cluster f*ck of epic proportions.

With the Summer Olympics right around the corner, there are several Olympic theme books out this Summer, including Stroked.  I loved Paisley, and Reese is fast becoming my new book boyfriend.

Let’s start with what I loved and/or liked in this book.  As mentioned above, Paisley.  I have a serious girl crush!  Paisley has been out of work for months after losing her production assistant position for not paying attention.  She’s pretty much black marketed in the media industry, so her BFF and roommate sets her up to become a personal assistant to a reality show persona, Bellini Chambers (I will come back to this person in a bit).  Their first introduction was cringe worthy at best.  Not only is she Bellini’s personal assistant, but also her “boyfriend” Reese King.  He is competing for his last Olympics in swimming.  He wants the last stigma of being called the “Silver Stroke and finally earning Gold.  He kind of made a “deal with the devil” if you will to be on this reality show, to stop his “bad boy” image.  Little did he know, he would be falling for his personal assistant.

Bellini Chambers, hmmm how many adjectives can I say describing this human being?  She’s vile, spoiled, self-centered, over-the-top and thinks her dog is spiritual being.  Poor Pope Francis.

Paisley and Reese, instant connection, sexual chemistry through the roof.  But Reese, is off limits.  She made a promise, but those promises are meant to be broken.  Holy hell these two in the bedroom, scorching hot.  The banter and one-liners, crazy awesome!

So what I didn’t love/like:

Bellini!  Or her POV for that matter.  Not that she had a lot of chapters, but I didn’t want it nor needed it.  She was so offensive that she didn’t need her own chapters, in my opinion.

Stroked made me laugh at three percent into the book.  I love when an author can make me laugh out loud that quickly and Meghan Quinn in no exception.  Her quick wit and crazy over the top scenarios are meant to be savored.  And boy did she really give us some hot sexy times!

I really enjoyed this book except for that idiot Bellini.  Add Stroked to your TBR especially if you’re into sports themed books.  Paisley and Reese are guaranteed to make your melt.  Oh and Ms. Quinn, may I have a Bodi Banks book?  He has a story there lady.

Born in New York and raised in Southern California, Meghan has grown into a sassy, peanut butter eating, blonde haired swearing, animal hoarding lady. She is known to bust out and dance if “It’s Raining Men” starts beating through the air and heaven forbid you get a margarita in her, protect your legs because they may be humped.
Once she started commuting for an hour and twenty minutes every day to work for three years, she began to have conversations play in her head, real life, deep male voices and dainty lady coos kind of conversations. Perturbed and confused, she decided to either see a therapist about the hot and steamy voices running through her head or start writing them down. She decided to go with the cheaper option and started writing… enter her first novel, Caught Looking.
Now you can find the spicy, most definitely on the border of lunacy, kind of crazy lady residing in Colorado with the love of her life and her five, furry four legged children, hiking a trail or hiding behind shelves at grocery stores, wondering what kind of lube the nervous stranger will bring home to his wife. Oh and she loves a good boob squeeze!
