These Royals will ruin you…

From wharf fights and school brawls to crumbling lives inside glittery mansions, one guy tries to save himself.

Reed Royal has it all—looks, status, money. The girls at his elite prep school line up to date him, the guys want to be him, but Reed never gave a damn about anyone but his family until Ella Harper walked into his life.

What started off as burning resentment and the need to make his father’s new ward suffer turned into something else entirely—keep Ella close. Keep Ella safe. But when one foolish mistake drives her out of Reed’s arms and brings chaos to the Royal household, Reed’s entire world begins to fall apart around him.

Ella doesn’t want him anymore. She says they’ll only destroy each other.

She might be right.

Secrets. Betrayal. Enemies. It’s like nothing Reed has ever dealt with before, and if he’s going to win back his princess, he’ll need to prove himself Royally worthy.

The soap opera continues.
Shocking revelations

I don’t think I’ve ever anticipated a book as much this one.  I was 70% into another book, and nearly stopped that one and started this.  But I waited.  Barely.

Book one left me with a ton a questions.  I had my theories about what this book would reveal, and absolutely loved sharing ideas with The Royal Palace, the FB spoiler group.  Now, not every theory proved correct.  Some were way off base, some were right on the money.  So, without giving anything away, this installment will answer a lot of those questions, and bring up new ones.

“She – she was good for us.”
“But . . . we weren’t good for her.”

This story is told from dual POV, Reed and Ella.  I loved getting in his head, and it was nice to see him suffer a bit.  He deserved it!!!

I’ve spend the last couple of years trying to destroy everything around me.  Who knew success would taste so bitter.

I don’t want to give away the plot of this book but there was a lot of damage done from the first book and there is no easy way to repair that damage.  I can say that if the Royals dominated book one, this book was dominated by the ladies.  Both good and bad.

Let’s get the bad over with.

There is a trifecta of ugly in this book and it comes in the form of Jordan, Brooke and Dinah.
– Jordan, she’s the ultimate “Mean Girl”, evil to the core.
– Brooke, she’s the master manipulator, forcing the Royals to bow to her demands
– Dinah, the Queen B, as in Queen Bitch.  I think we’ve only gotten to the tip of the iceberg with this one.  I think she has a lot more plans in place to destroy the Royals.

Then there is the good.  And that is Ella.  This girl takes so much on, and she doesn’t go down without a fight.  On top of that, she finds the effort to defend others.  She clearly has a good heart, so she’s that kind of heroine that’s easy to root for.  She deserves more.

I have experienced moments of blissful happiness.  The problem is that the fall off the cliff of joy hurts like a bitch.

I plowed through this book in one day, dying to get answers, and as expected, got a doozy of a cliffhanger.  Actually, these authors doubled it up.  Yes, TWO CLIFFHANGERS!!!!  Gahhhhhhhhhhh!!!  October seems so far away!  Until then, I’m hitting the spoiler once again.  This series is just too fun!
