The first book in a seductive new series from Scott Hildreth, the #1 Amazon bestselling author of BRAWLER and HARD CORPS.

Once, I took down terrorists on the front lines as a marine.
Now I’m in the business of bad.
I’ve sold guns to people others might not approve of.
I’ve eliminated the criminals, the lowlifes and the thugs who’ve tread on my turf.
And I looked the Sicilian Mafia boss in the eye and told him to f*** off.
No one tells me no, unless it’s their last word.
I didn’t just act the part of bad—I lived it. Then she stumbled into my life.
I tried to stay away from her. Tried focusing on moving my merchandise. But one smile from Terra was like a shot to the heart.
She’s mine now. And no one threatens what’s mine.

I’ve seen a lot of terrible things in my life.
I grew up around lies and deception, and I ran away from all of them.
Until I met him.
I knew he was corrupt. I knew he was dangerous.
I should have stayed away, but my attraction to him, my needfor him, overrode my logic.
Now I love him.
If he finds out who I am, we’re done and I’ll be nothing.
I never wanted to be the Mafia princess they tried to make me, but mia familia had other plans. And what mia familia wants…it gets.
Only Michael Tripp can save me.

Tripp and Terra’s story continues in Book Two of Mafia Made, The Game Changer.

Grace Review

Can two people who shouldn’t be together make it work?

Told from dual POVs, this is the story of a Gun Runner, Michael Tripp, and a Mafia Princess, Terra Agrioli.  They meet under heated circumstances and are not honest with each other from the get go, but the attraction they feel is too much to deny.

I have mixed feelings about this story, so let me try to break it down.

What I liked:

*I really liked the bones of this story.  The gun runner/Mafia theme was the reason I go the book in the first place.  My favorite parts of the story were the interactions between Michael and Cap, and their business missions.

*Michelle – as Terra’s BFF, she is the voice of reason.  She sets Terra straight when she has her head up her ass, and I liked how she clicked with Cap.

What I didn’t like:

*I can’t quite put my finger on it, but something with the flow of the story felt rushed.  Scenes came and went too quickly, I wished they had been fleshed out more.  More details, and if the love story is going to be the major part of the story, I think more angst was needed.

*Given how much I was intrigued by Michael’s business, I would have liked if the author expanded this part of the book, a la Shay Savage’s Evan Arden series.  Then I would have made had the love story play a smaller role.  Also, you have Michael as the ex-military, gun running bad ass, but he was a complete pussy when it came to Terra.  I would have liked him to maintain his Alpha role with her.

*Terra – I didn’t really care for her as a heroine.  She was so upset about Michael’s secret, yet she keeps a pretty major one herself.  The fact that she is waiting so long to reveal the truth, will only make things worse. I also thought that she really needs to stop relying on Daddy’s money.  I would have had more compassion for her if she worked or even volunteered with something.

This story ends with a HFN and given that this is book one of a series, there’s more to come from this unlikely couple.  I’m guessing Terra’s big secret is due to blow up . . .
