He’s won the hearts of millions. But is he willing to lose his?

I met the president’s son when we were both young. Matthew Hamilton was handsome, polished, and intelligent. I’d never met a guy like him.

He promised me that he’d never run for president. I promised that if he did, I’d be by his side.

Three terms later, an invitation to join Matthew Hamilton’s campaign is the most exhilarating opportunity I’ve ever experienced. I’m determined to make a difference; he is determined to win.

Focused on his goal, Matt is steadfast, ruthless, and disarming. All eyes are on him and his popularity is surging. But soon, the next possible president of the United States is possessing me in more ways than one—and despite the risks, I’m helpless to resist.

We’re stealing touches, stealing moments, and stealing away at night. But our chemical connection is quickly becoming dangerously combustive, putting not only my heart, but Matt’s chance at the presidency on the line.

Winning will take everything. Walking away will be the hardest thing of all.

With the elections right around the corner, Katy Evans has given us a hot and sexy book to get away from the actual mudslinging that is actually going on in this year’s Presidential Election.  Some readers may feel like “uh oh, really an election romance”, have no fear, Katy Evans really did a great job with Mr. President and soon, you all will be swooning over Matt Hamilton and really wishing this fictional character was actually running for President of the United States.

Of course, you will expect Matt Hamilton to be your typical Katy Evans alpha male.  He is an alpha, but not the ones we are used to reading from Ms. Evans’ other books.  He is extremely smart, articulate, confident, his smoldering brown eyes will make want to change your panties, and most of all how charismatic he is which you would expect from someone running for President.

I found that I really loved Charlotte, our leading lady.  She has met Matt when she was 11-years-old while his dad was President.  She remembers his dad saying that his son would one day be President (although at the time Matt was dead set on not running). Charlotte at a young age wrote Matt a letter, letting him know she would fully support him if he ever ran for President.  Fast forward 11 years, Charlotte is a do gooder, helping women find their place in the world.  While the current prospects running for office does not appeal to Charlotte,  “I groan, the options so far nothing to get excited about.  The current struggling and unlikeable president who is up for a second term?  Or the opposite party candidates, some who are just too hard to take seriously considering the radical ideology they’re embracing” when she sees the man she has crushed on for 11 years is putting his name into the ring.  Although Charlotte had no aspirations to be working on a campaign since she grew up with her dad as a Senator, when asked to help on his campaign, she was all in.  She sees what good Matt Hamilton can do for her country and is in awe of proposals for a better America.

The chemistry between Matt and Charlotte, holy shitzballs, the lingering stares, the slight touches will have you panting and fanning yourself.  Oh but these two must avoid any improprieties, you see Matt is running as a single man and he’s running for the people, their unrequited lust must remain low key.  But boy does Matt want Charlotte “I may be the next President of the United States!  I’ll be damned if I if I don’t have what I want, … and I want you, I need you.  No matter what I’m doing, I’m thinking of you.  No matter who I’m with, I would rather they be you…” and there goes my heart.

This book is mostly in Charlotte’s POV but we do get a few chapters of Matt’s POV as well.  What I wasn’t expecting and maybe I should have was that cliffhanger.  I think I was in denial at 85% and thought, nah there isn’t a cliffy, yeah no, there is, duh for me lol.  January 11, 2017 cannot get here soon enough to see what will happen with Matt and Charlotte.
