Synopsis

I have a crush on my boss’ best friend.
At least it’s not my brother’s best friend.
Or my best friend’s brother.
Or… never mind. It’s all pretty cliche.

And worse? My boss’ best friend is his business partner. Which sort of makes him my boss too. Okay – it’s not sort of. It’s definite. Gabe Laurent is off limits. Totally off limits.

Which is fine. I make do with my imagination. He’ll never know. Ever. Unless my work bestie passes me an eighties-style teen movie sex quiz during a meeting and I fill it out.

And it ends up in Gabe’s hands.

Stop right there!  Did you read Right?  No?  Well don’t read this review.  Yes Fling is a standalone(ish), but if you haven’t read Right, then I suggest you do before diving into Fling.

In Right we met Sandra and Gabe.  We all knew how Everly “hooked them up”, but what we didn’t know is how this “hook up” ended.  Before I get to that, Sandra is Sawyer’s kick ass assistant. Every boss should have such an efficient assistant.  She take copious notes, pays attention to details and basically makes Sawyer’s business life well managed.  But she has a serious crush on his best friend and co-partner, Gabe Laurent.  After taking sex survey that her work friend Prescott hands over, little did she know that her answers to said survey would end up in Gabe’s hands.

Gabe is the ultimate alpha, hot that wears really sexy glasses.  He has been attracted to Sandra for a while, and against Sawyer’s wishes, he gets nice and dirty with Sandra, and this is the part when Everly comes in and does her matchmaking magic.  Yeah, their sexy time was really hot, that’s for sure, but what Gabe he didn’t want, turns out he did want.  Sandra feels that she may not be worthy of Gabe, but boy is she wrong.

If you’ve read Jana’s previous books, you know she can write some good rom/com and here is no exception.  I know I am going to sound a bit greedy and not that I didn’t appreciate this book, but I really would have loved a full length.  The flirty and funny banter was great, but I wanted more and see how the relationship would have blossomed.  Having said that, I am thankful that Jana did give me a little of Gabe and Sandra, so thank you.  For a quick a fun read, get your Fling on.
