It’s the start of nothing good.
I fired off a storm of raunchy text messages…to the wrong number.
And he replied.
Him: Show me a picture.
Him: Tell me your name.
Why does the lure of anonymity have me craving to indulge a stranger?

It’s the start of everything right.
I received a slew of text messages…when everything in my life was wrong.
And she made me laugh again.
Her: You’re probably a creeper.
Her: Possibly a stalker.
Why do I have the overwhelming need to find this stranger who saved me and make her mine?

Him: Take a chance with me.
Her: This is crazy.
Him: I need to see you.
Her: What are we doing?
Him: We’re about to find out.

Finally my first K. Webster and J.D. Hollyfield book and no vegetables were harmed in reading this book (yeah that was a K. Webster reference).  These two lovely ladies paired up to write a romantic/comedy.  Now if you ever interacted with these authors, you know they are hysterically funny, although K. Webster makes me nervous with her twisty humor, I kid, I kid … I adore Kristi and her crazy humor.  Jennifer is equally funny, so when I saw a sign up that these two crazy ladies collaborated on a rom/com, well my grabby little hands needed to get this book.

Sweet and naive Dani just finds out that her boyfriend’s tongue down his next door neighbor’s throat at a bar.  Not only was he cheating on Dani, but he proposed to said neighbor.  Oh sweet, sweet Dani, instead of going all up in face after he embarrases her, she gets drunk, thanks to her BFF Andie and ensues to text message said douchey ex-boyfriend.  Dani is not that girl, and you will see what I mean, but alcohol and a pushy best friend makes you do crazy things.  Yeah, instead of her texting her ex, she’s texting a complete stranger.  And that stranger is our hero, Ram.  Ram is immediately smitten with the feisty woman whom he ends up nicknaming Buttercup.  Totally adorable nickname, if I do say so myself.

Somehow, Dani and Ram end up becoming texting friends, that leads to some serious sexting.  More so than ever, Ram wants to meet this mystery woman.  He pictures all sorts of scenarios.  How they finally end up meeting is really funny which makes the storyline even funnier and convincing.  You ladies are going to fall hard for Ram, the little things he does, remembering her top 10 favorite things, was by far my favorite thing to read, I think I may have cried lol.  Of course, there is some drama involving Ram’s ex which you know, adds even a little angst to the story.

May I say, I also enjoyed the secondary characters of Andie and Ram’s brother Roman.  We should all have a crazy, kick ass (and I mean that literally) best friend like Andie.  She’s quite scary lol. Ah and Roman, total Alpha.  Those two together, are like oil and vinegar and I will leave it at that.

Unless you are living in a bubble, every conversation is now had via text messages.  Many books are now including text message conversations, which can add a touch of realism to a book and that is why I really enjoyed reading Text 2 Lovers.  I cannot wait to read what these two authors come up with Hate 2 Lovers.
