Synopsis

Juliette Smith, star tennis player, is starting over at a new university. Traumatized by hazing at her last school, all she wants is to attend classes, win tennis matches, and be left the hell alone.

She should have known her coach, Drew King, would be a problem from the moment he flexed his sexy-as-hell forearms.

What happens when you mix a pissed-off woman with a bunch of snooty teammates and a hot coach?

A heated match, complete with team politics and a forbidden game of singles with the coach.

It’s reckless and hot until one of them taps out.

Unable to admit she may be better off as a double, Jules is convinced she needs to play the game of life alone. Then life throws her a lob and she runs smack into her past.

Coach King is back, and he wants to take control of the game. But she’s not certain she wants his advice when it comes to the life she’s built.

The power struggle is on, but this time off the court.

I had the privilege of reading Break Point (.5) in the Hot For Teacher Anthology that Rachel was a part of, (see reviewand it left me hanging!  I was so happy to hear that Rachel would write a full length of Jules and Drew’s love story after Drew left Ohio.

Moving six years forward, Jules has moved from Ohio to Florida after having Drew’s love child, but before settling in Florida, Jules had moved around some to give her daughter Darla a better life. She left the tennis world behind as well.  Her precocious daughter is also a tennis star in the making.  After six years of no communication with Drew, she bumps into him and boy what an awkward reunion.

Although it has been six years since Drew laid his eyes on Jules, he has never forgotten about her, he went as far as trying to find out if she continued her tennis career having coming up empty.  To say he was more than surprise to see her as a waitress is putting it mildly.  Oh and when he finds out he’s her baby daddy, uhm, yeah not a very good response on his part.

Yeah their reunion wasn’t hearts and flowers.  Drew was angry that he had a daughter than he didn’t know about, Jules was angry because as much as she wanted to resent Drew, she couldn’t. Their connection and chemistry, seriously hot.  Could Drew win Jules back?  Will Darla love having her dad around?

I was so glad Ms. Blaufeld gave me more of Jules and Drew, she left me (and her other readers for that matter) hanging with that cliffhanger.  This book had what we would expect from this author, a well balanced story, some funny moments and some good old angst.  Of course, I don’t have to mention, but some serious hot sexy times.  For those of you that read Break Point the novella, well you will be seriously happy with Break Point the full length.  The ball is in your court and Rachel Blaufled served us an awesome ace with this book.

About
Rachel B

Rachel Blaufeld is a social worker/entrepreneur/blogger turned author. Fearless about sharing her opinion, Rachel captured the ear of stay-at-home and working moms on her blog,BacknGrooveMom, chronicling her adventures in parenting tweens and inventing a product, often at the same time. She has also blogged for The Huffington Post, Modern Mom, and StartupNation.

Turning her focus on her sometimes wild-and-crazy creative side, it only took Rachel two decades to do exactly what she wanted to do—write a fiction novel. Now she spends way too many hours in local coffee shops plotting her ideas. Her tales may all come with a side of angst and naughtiness, but end lusciously.

Rachel lives around the corner from her childhood home in Pennsylvania with her family and two dogs. Her obsessions include running, coffee, icing-filled doughnuts, anti-heroes, and mighty fine epilogues.
