Now, forever, and every day in between.
Tissues, Xanax, Wine, Zen – are all needed to get through Ends Here.
There was more suspense, love, angst, drama, in this book than any other of M’s books to date. And we know that that is saying a lot!
So much happens in this book and every page is more important than the last.
You imagine each scene in your mind and try to plot out what is going to happen next but you are often thrown off the scent. This fits the story perfectly, it is nice every once and awhile to not foresee what is going to happen next.
With all that is going on with these characters, we truly get to see who they are. Sides that you did not expect to shown. It was refreshing to read and see the ache that all the characters have for each other. Being it a loved one, friend, family or foe.
There was no shortage of drama from the brothers loving the same woman. Who will be chosen?
Who will be heartbroken? While I cannot divulge who was chosen, I can let you know that each will go through their own heartbreak.
Fight, after fight. I cringed while reading some of the scenes. You just know that they are in a battered state. Bullets and fists fly. Some recover, some do not.
Love. This story is about true love. Love that overtakes you and sends you on a journey to the one that you are meant to be with. There is such a difference from being in love, to just love. This is layered throughout the book.
Ends Here is everything that we expect, want and more. There is not one page that you are not going to like. M made sure to rip your heart and out and then piece it back together, her words, but my words as well.
You will be angry.
You will be sad.
You will be swooned.
You will be shocked.
You will be enthralled.
You will be in love.

“Tell me you don’t love me. Tell me you don’t wish it were me who held you in their arms. Tell me you don’t want me to kiss you right now, yeah? Touch you, take you to our bed and make sweet fuckin’ love to all night long, until there isn’t an inch of your skin I haven’t kissed, licked, or touched. Tell me you don’t feel me,” he whimpered, placing his hand over my heart, “here.”
“Creed,” I whispered in a voice I didn’t recognize. Trying to reel in my feelings, hide the fact that he still had an effect on me.
After all this time.
“Tell me any of that, and I swear I’ll leave you alone, cuz at the end of the day… All I ever wanted was for you to be happy, and if that’s not wit’ me, then at least I have the memory of the love of my fuckin’ life.” He placed his forehead on mine, bringing his hands up to frame my face again. “Say the words, babe,” he groaned in a tone that made my stomach flutter and my body warm. His mouth so close to mine that I could feel him breathe on me. The smell of cigarettes and mint took over my senses. As if he was testing me, he licked his lips slowly, provoking me. Proving that he was right. I shut my eyes. I had to. The realization was too hard to admit, and I knew he could see it in my gaze.
He knew me. “Creed,” I panted, my breathing mimicking his. “Please…”
“Please what, baby?” he rasped as if he was hanging on by a thread.
Waiting for me to say the magic words that would set us both free.
