Graham Russell and I weren’t made for one another.

I was driven by emotion; he was apathetic. I dreamed while he lived in nightmares. I cried when he had no tears to shed.

Despite his frozen heart and my readiness to run, we sometimes shared seconds. Seconds when our eyes locked and we saw each other’s secrets. Seconds when his lips tasted my fears, and I breathed in his pains. Seconds when we both imagined what it would be like to love one another.

Those seconds left us floating, but when reality knocked us sideways, gravity forced us to descend.

Graham Russell wasn’t a man who knew how to love, and I wasn’t a woman who knew how to either. Yet if I had the chance to fall again, I’d fall with him forever.

Even if we were destined to crash against solid ground.

The Feels.
The. Feels.

Did I mention the feels?

This book is a glorious read!

Brittainy has such a special way of making the worst situation be real. That you can persevere through the toughest of situations. That no matter who you are, what your background is, what your flaws are, you matter.

“Air above me, earth below me, fire within me, water surround me.”

We are taken on a journey with one happy go lucky girl who sees the positive and one grumpy not so happy guy who sees nothing but negative.

“Doesn’t it tire you to feel so much?”
“Doesn’t it tire you to feel nothing at all?”

Lucy is a warm and loving and strong women. She takes charge with kindness. You see her light and you just want to bask in it with her. Lucy takes a negative and makes it into a positive. Genuine is a lovely word to describe her. When you feel down you want to pick up your phone and just reach out because you know that you will feel better instantly.

“This life is short, and you never know how many chapters you have left in your novel. Live each day as if it’s the final page. Breathe each moment as if it’s the final word. Be brave.”

Graham is a brooding, cold, strong man. He is very clinical with everything that he does. You see a cloud over his head and you want to dodge those rain drops. Graham cannot take a negative and make it a positive. Grump-a-lump is a true way to describe him. When you need a factual, clean cut, no nonsense answer, he is your guy to call.

“She was the girl who felt everything, and I was the man who felt nothing at all.”

So just imagine when Graham is drowning in a major life event and he stumbles upon Lucy, and needs her help, he is purely cringing. But Lucy, being Lucy does what is needed and does it in her lovely way. She is infectious and Graham has no power against her.

“Being around you does something strange to me, something that hasn’t happened in such a long time.”
“What happens?”
He took my hand in his then led it to his chest, and his next words came out as a whisper. “My heart begins to beat again.”

There is obviously more to this story, and you truly will want to read this and get to know more about this duo, I can assure you will love it just as much as me.

“And I realized you were the first and only thing that ever made my heartbeats come to life.”

We are given the quotes that we have become to expect and love from the genius mind of Brittainy.

“Sometimes when your heart wanted a full-length novel, the world only gave you a novella, and sometimes when you wanted forever you only had those few seconds of now.”

The Gravity Of Us speak volumes about how family does not always mean that you are united as one. That there are cracks that cannot and should not be mended. That an act of kindness from someone that seems to be your total opposite, can go a long way. It can turn your life around. It can mend you. It can you ground you. It can give you gravity to become an us.

Brittainy C Cherry is one of those authors that just reach into your heart with her stories. I have loved every single story I’ve read from her. This was no exception.

This is the final book in the Elements series and I’m so sad it’s over… WHYYYYYY??? I want more.

“I love you more than the wind loves the trees, sweet girl, and I’m always here for you, even when you don’t see me.”

The Gravity of Us is so freaking good. The story just grabs you and doesn’t let you go until you’re done. Graham and Lucy is are so freaking cute together. These two are thrown together into a situation they both didn’t except. Somehow, they end up falling for each other. Everything with these two is heartfelt and sweet. Graham is a grouchy alpha male who doesn’t really care about anyone aside from himself. Lucy is your free, sweet, caring, lovable person. Their relationship is not easy. They go through a lot, there’s so much to these two though. Lucy and Graham are opposites yet similar in some things. Their connection more than just love. Their connection it’s written.

“Doesn’t tire you?” I asked. “To feel so much?”
“Doesn’t it tire you not to feel at all?”

Brittainy has become one of my favorite authors. Her stories are just so raw and beautiful. Her writing is poetry to me. Her writing just makes you feel everything. She always seems to make me fall in love with her characters. Every single time you feel her stories in your heart. Her words carry so many feels. My gawd this woman knows how to make you weep.

“I thought I’d been in love before. I thought I knew what love was. I thought I understood its curves, its angles, and its shape. But then, I kissed you.”

Do yourself a favor and read every single book in this series. You won’t be disappointed.
