They say that life is a beautiful lie and death a painful truth. They’re right.
No one has ever made me feel more alive than the guy who serves as a constant reminder that my clock is ticking.
He is my forbidden, shiny apple.
The striking fallacy to my blunt, raw, truth.
He is also my sister’s ex-boyfriend.
One thing you should know before you judge me;
I saw him first. I craved him first. I loved him first.
Eleven years later, he waltzed into my life, demanding a second chance.
Dean Cole wants to be my bronze horseman. My white knight has finally arrived. Hopefully, he isn’t too late.

They say the brightest stars burn out the fastest. They’re right.
She sets my mind on fire.
All smart mouth, snarky attitude and a huge heart.
In a world where everything is dull, she shines like fucking Sirius.
Eleven years ago, fate tore us apart.
This time, I fucking dare it to try.
Getting to her is a battlefield, but man, that’s why they call me Ruckus.
Rosie LeBlanc is about to find out how hard I can fight.
And conquering her will be the sweetest victory.

Hey any HotHole fans out there? Yeah, I know you are, did you read Defy and Vicious? No, that’s ok, you don’t have to, but it would behoove you to do so at some point. Why, let me enlighten you. Sinners of Saint all started with a novella of Defy. You see the author wrote a little student/teacher taboo, and hence the HotHoles were created. First Jamie in Defy, then Baron (Vicious) and not Dean a/k/a Ruckus.

For those of you who have read Vicious, we already met Rosie. She’s Millie’s younger sister. Now some of you ladies may have not liked her, since you know, she kissed Vicious, but you know there’s always a story as to why things happened. I read Vicious, and always liked Rosie, her relationship with her older sister is one you would love to read about. Rosie was the Rachel to Dean’s Jacob. If you’re not versed with the Old Testament, I can’t help you there. Rosie was the one that sorta, kinda, but not really got away.

Oh Dean, you poor misunderstood HotHole. I wasn’t sure how I felt about Dean. I mean he was the life of the party in Defy and Vicious, but you know there’s always something behind the partying and mask you hide behind. Dean has always had feelings for Rosie, but I didn’t understand why he wasn’t with her until the author took me to the past. Although rich, he worked hard to achieve everything he has now, the one thing he needs is the girl, the girl he has always wanted and he’s determined to get her.

Their relationship you would think is pretty doomed, especially with Rosie’s condition. she suffers from as cystic fibrosis and really, what kind of life can she offer any man for that matter, right? As much as she wants to hate Dean for the past, their relationship blossoms. What these two went through to finally get to their happily ever after was gutting but needed to be read.

I don’t what is about asshole type men that we love reading, I guess in the back of our minds, they have a way to redeem themselves. Look, I read Vicious and he was a major ASSHOLE. Yes, shouty capital letters. Yet, he he redeemed himself. Dean did that for himself here with Ruckus. He needed to go through the hot lava of hell to get his Baby LeBlanc. Through everything, these HotHoles remain loyal through and through.
I really enjoyed Ruckus, it probably is my favorite of Ms. Shen’s Sinners of Saint book. I am curious about Trent’s story. That dude, he needs his own book. So buckle up ladies and getting ready for the Ruckus that L.J. Shen is going to cause your heart reading Dean and Rosie’s love story. It’s going to be epic.
