Can you fall in love with someone you’ve never even met?

Hailey Taylor Emery has a hunch that her favorite client at Fetch—an anonymous virtual assistant service—is actually hockey star Matt Eriksson.

Although it’s against the rules for her to check his file, she’s 95% sure she spends at least part of each day texting with her lifelong crush and catering to his every need. Still nursing a wounded heart thanks to her recent breakup, Hailey is perfectly content with some harmless online flirting… until she has to meet her client. Face to face. Cue: utter panic.

Matt Eriksson is no stranger to heartbreak. He’s still not over the destruction of his marriage, and it sucks to be the only guy on the team who knows the truth—that hockey and long-term relationships are a toxic mix. He barely sees his kids, and dealing with his ex makes him feel insane. The only person in his life who seems to understand is someone who won’t show her pretty face.

But it’s nothing that a pair of fourth row hockey seats can’t fix. Hailey can’t resist the offer. Matt can’t resist Hailey. Good thing he doesn’t have to. Fire up the kiss cam!

Warning: Contains rabid hockey fans, misunderstood dick pics, hockey players at the opera and exploding ovaries.

Ivy: Girl, we’re making this a habit. *blinks* I like it! Good times, people, good times. We’re here to discuss the latest entry in the WAGs series by Ms. Bowen and Ms. Kennedy. Matt Eriksson has had a rough time of it, getting divorced a little over a year ago and he’s lost his confidence in being able to be in a relationship. Hailey Taylor Emery has been through her own divorce, and they meet when Matt uses her company, Fetch’s, services anonymously. Sexy texting, flirting and some sweet moments follow. So, what did you think Mick?

Michelle: Yes we are making it quite the habit aren’t we, but I love reviewing with you except, you know, when you get all bossy and ish about the BBFs, but I digress.  Ok so yeah, Matt, I knew he needed a book forever.  So Ivy, Hottie as Matt refers to her, she’s had a crush on Eriksson for a hot minute, the fact that she can get him personal stuff is a bonus.  Well that is until he wants to meet his mysterious “fetcher”.  Yeah, I had to use that word somehow.

Ivy: Sorry, I was having a Mean Girls moment. Carry on. So yeah, I actually enjoyed her crush, her awkwardness, even if she was of course super gorgeous and kind of unaware of it. Their relationship was sweet. It was the battle of the exes that made me a little cuckoo for cocoa puffs at times.

Michelle: Yeah, I wasn’t a fan of Matt’s ex-wife.  I mean I know some couples do not get along when they get divorced and although Matt and his ex were civil to one another in front of their girls, the ex always had a bitchy comment for him.  I knew deep down inside, there was more to her being such a C (rhymes with punt).  And although Hailey too is divorced, her relationship is a lot better with her ex, especially since they both own the company, so that was a plus.  Although I was not a fan of her ex father-in-law.

Ivy: Her relationship with her ex husband bugged me for different reasons, mostly because it felt like, at least in the beginning, like the door wasn’t shut between them, you know what I mean? But I did appreciate that Sarina and Elle brought it around and really fleshed out those two relationships to make sense of it all and really wrap them up so you could believe in Matty and Hailey’s HEA. The exes could have been cookie cutter and just standard villains, but  nope, Sarina and Elle gave that all some depth. But enough about them, how about Matty? Sexy effing beast, eh?

Michelle: Ericksson was not only a beast on the ice, but ahem he sure was a beast in the sheets.  For someone who has not been intimate with a woman for over 18 months, he sure did know what he was doing.  He was also a romantic.  At first, Matt was a bit nervous about any relationship he would have, but he noticed a big difference between Hailey and his ex.  While his ex hated everything to do with hockey, Hailey is his #1 fan.

Ivy: That was a fine line to tread, but I think they played it beautifully. She had her creeper moments, but it felt genuine and even when she was a bit too freaked out, I’m glad she pushed through.

Michelle: Overall, I really enjoyed this read and seeing some of the characters from the previous series is a big plus.  If this is your first Sarina Bowen/Elle Kennedy book, you won’t be disappointed.  If you are a fan of their co-written books, you also will not be disappointed.

Ivy:  Agreed. There’s alot of the elements I’ve come to expect from their writing that is in full effect. Good friendships with funny banter, sweet romance balanced out with  hot smutty times and let’s not forget some well written hockey scenes (which I always love in my hockey romances). If you love these things, you may enjoy this. I know M and I are already waiting for the next one.
