Wells Lemiere knew the moment he saw Matty Haverbrooke, he had to have him. Matty was quiet, he was talented, he was beautiful, and Wells couldn’t stay away.

As the youngest and most talented son of the NHL Commissioner, Matty had found the burden of family expectations almost too heavy to carry on even his broad shoulders. He had no intention of getting involved in a relationship with Wells. But the heart he’d given up for dead had other ideas.

Their affair was intense and overwhelming, but when Matty couldn’t bring himself to come out and admit he wanted a public future with the man he loved, Wells had no choice but to honor his vow to live openly…and leave Matty behind.

But then he learns Wells is marrying another, and Matty knows he can’t let that happen. Can he throw down his gloves and embrace his future with both hands? Or will he pull the door to his closet shut once more?

Two Man Advantage is the first book I ever read by Ms. Aleo and apparently this was her debut in writing m/m, she didn’t disappoint. For those of you that love hockey and hockey players in general, she introduces us to Wells and Matty and this is their story.

They both play for the NHL, Wells is about 10 years older to Matty’s 23 years, but he’s in love with Matty, problem is that Matty has yet to come out, to anyone. You see his dad is the Commissioner for the NHL. All Wells wants is for Matty to acknowledge their relationship, out and proud if you will, but Matty is not ready and well, Wells walks away.

Ten months after Wells walks out of Matty’s life, Matty finds out that Wells is about to give himself to someone else, so what does Matty do, he makes the biggest grand gesture of them all.

To say that Matty still has issues with coming out of the closest is putting it mildly. He first had to make amends with his twin sister, when you read what he did in the past, you will want to throat punch him, but he redeemed himself. Then, he wanted to tell both his brothers before telling his parents. One brother took the news better than the other, but how his father came to find out, well let’s just say it got pretty ugly.

The author takes you through the motions, the story is told in third person POV but you will not be lost for those of you that do not like reading in third person. There were some hot and steamy moments between Wells and Matty and there were times where you will want to cry out to both characters.

As mentioned above, although both h/h are hockey players, there isn’t a lot of hockey playing in the book, so if you’re a sports fan and looking for that, the story is more on Matty and Wells’s relationship and how they can make it work. If you like m/m, then you will want to read Two Man Advantage and follow Matty and Well’s journey in getting their HEA.

Gay man has his hand on penis

My name is Toni Aleo and I’m a total dork.
I am a wife, mother of two and a bulldog, and also a hopeless romantic.
I am the biggest Shea Weber fan ever, and can be found during hockey season with my nose pressed against the Bridgestone Arena’s glass, watching my Nashville Predators play!
When my nose isn’t pressed against the glass, I enjoy going to my husband and son’s hockey games, my daughter’s dance competition, hanging with my best friends, taking pictures, scrapbooking, and reading the latest romance novel.
I have a slight Disney and Harry Potter obsession, I love things that sparkle, I love the color pink, I might have been a Disney Princess in a past life… probably Belle.
… and did I mention I love hockey?
